We are Cheng and Thien, architects and designers working across projects ranging from small extensions and commercial spaces to Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas.

First on-site project of 2026 and it's progressing well!
A small residential extension, but a big change to how the home will feel. By opening up the existing rooms, the interior becomes lighter, calmer, and much better connected to the garden.
East-facing in the morning.

A breakfast spot at one end of the day, and evening sunlight from the garden at the other.
The old fireplace will also soon become a new pantry.
